THIS is the Glenn Beck Program!!!

In 2001 I found some talk radio programs on the AOL RADIO.There I found WFLA in Tampa bay. They had the Glenn Beck program. It was not a primarily political show,but a radio version of a late night Letterman,Leno type format. Rather obscure, but funny! He had regular "Freak Juries" Where he took calls from listeners to decide meaningless issues. Then there is ......"MORON TRIVIA".Moron Trivia is...On Friday before NFL games , they pick a Game i.e.: Dallas vs. New England, Call convenience stores and ask Questions of the "usually" foreign sales staff in the respective cities,such as : Who won the civil war? One lady actually said "Osama Bin Laden", When they stopped laughing Beck asked,"Who lost?" She said Saddam Hussein! It's Rib cracking hilarious.
Then on 911.....everything changed, Due to Glenn's immediate bout face on show topics. Gone were the Michael Jackson parodies, and in their stead... Jessie Jackson parodies. Although his resolve had grown,and he was determined to address the looming aura of the time he still kept a sarcastic comedic approach to the news and issues facing us.
Then there was the Terry Schivo case. Glenn rallied behind this Adult right to life case. He devoted many shows to it. He helped bring national attention to her and I believe was instrumental in her survival. Up until now. You see at firstGlenn took the side of Michael Shiavo Terri's estranged husband, and basicly said it is the husband's decision. Until one day a caller asked him to define "Life Support". When Glenn could not rationalize away the fact that food and water are not life support, but thay are fundamental to everyone's life, he realized that NO STATE COURT has the authority to userp the rights afforded us by God . These were my feelings on the subject, and I was glad that Glenn shares the same vision.

Glenn was signed by Clear Channel Communications at the proding of the man Sitting firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila the Hun chair, behind the Golden EIB microphone.
Beck may have benefited from the "knighting" from Rush Limbaugh, but since he was now on AM 1290 from 8am to 11:00 pm ahead of The Maha Rushey, I would then become the beneficiary of daily live Beck while I work.
I have enjoyed the program for about three and 1/2 years now. I have been a member of the online site "The Insider" for longer than that. Six dollars and change a month gets you access to the Audio Archives,Screensavers,and now you can download the shows and copy them to a CD.
Glenn wrote a book in 2003 called "The Real America". He traveled last year to promote his book on the "Rally for America" tour. All proceeds went to the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. The rally was held in the town squares and parks of small town middle America. The "Heart Land" of America as he tagged it. He was energized by the tour,and transformed to the dedicated Beck of today.
Don't be surprised if you hear him scream"GET OF MY PHONE"! He gets this from a guy he grew up listening to, Who'd say,"Get off my phone you sick freak". Glenn adopted the Sick Freak thing as a sort of Term of Endearment. "Get Off My Phone" became a lunatic rant used to expel idiots from his show when they really deserve it.This occurs more rarely these days, but it does happen.
