I will have my hand on the Bible !!!

By now we have all heard of Michael Newdow. He is the atheist who failed miserably at getting the phrase " Under God " stricken from the Pledge of Allegiance. Where has this twisted soul been focusing his attention of late? Well, he wants to stop the President from having members of the Clergy, the Bible, and prayer in his inauguration next Thursday. Despite the fact that American Presidents have done this for 216 years! He has petitioned a D.C. District Court to put a halt to Bush's mixing of Religion and Government. There are many great examples as to why this man is a kook, and why he will not succeed in his mission to de-moralize our country. In speaking to friends, I have made it clear that I do not fear the Left's onslaught against Christianity in open American society. It is a futile endeavor. I need only to point you to the polarization of the populous, the divide in the election, and the turn out of Christians to issue a true mandate on November 2nd.
I however can not compete with the commander in chief. In an interview in the Oval Office this week, Bush took the opportunity to go on record about his faith, He said, "I fully understand that the job of the president is and must always be protecting the great right of people to worship or not worship as they see fit, On the other hand, I don't see how you can be president at least from my perspective, how you can be president, without a relationship with the Lord." Is that not what we as Christians have wanted our president to say to validate our emotional and spiritual support ?
I know there are some that will cry "FOUL" at this, but the world is full of all sorts of misled souls, case in point, Mr. Newdow. Our 43rd President had a response to him and the entire Leftist fringe. He said,"I will have my hand on the Bible."
When asked about Mr. Newdow's objections, he said,"The great thing about our country is somebody can stand up and say, 'We should try to take "under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance, On the other hand, the backlash was pretty darn significant." That is exactly what I believe. Let's not be fearful that our voice will not be heard, just be sure we do not grow complacent and forget to speak up. We are still the majority, we are the backbone of this nation. There will always be hundreds of Michael Newdows, The ACLU will always find warped minded cool-Aide drinkers, but until we grow nearer to our Lord's return, there will always be Millions of dedicated Christians who , when needed most, will stand up and fight!
"This is a country that is a value-based country," our President said. "Whether they voted for you or not, there's a lot of values in this country, for which I'm real proud."
He will be focusing on using grant money to support and institute his " Faith Based Initiative ". He said, "What we are going to do in the second term is to make sure that the grant money is available for faith communities to bid on, to make sure these faith-based offices are staffed and open, but the key thing is, that we do have the capacity to allow faith programs to access enormous sums of social service money, which I think is important."
At many points in our history, we have felt the gnashing of liberal teeth, gnawing away at our " Unalienable Rights." It has been largely in vain until now, and I believe these attacks only work to strengthen our resolve and polarize the bases. However, do not fall in to believing the lie that the Polarization of the country is a bad thing. If you have Christians on one side and ANTI-CHRISTIANS on the other, of course we are going to have a separation and conflict. It does the saints good to battle evil thinking, it is what we do best. The " Can't we all get along, and find common ground " crowd is misguided. Can we just " get along" with blasphemous behavior? Can we shake hands and agree to disagree about the heinous act of slaughtering innocent unborn children of God? Should we sign a covenant with those who would teach our children that God has no place in "Civilized society" ?
If you think that sounds absurd, you are in good company, and " For now " in this great Country you are in the majority
