THE IRAN NUCLEAR CRISIS

Is Iran next?
Bush and Rice have discussed the possibility of giving concessions to Iran, and allowing them to join in trade talks with the US and others. Will this work? Are we just affording them the time they need to hit us?
Then the other question is:

"Can we afford to send military operatives to Iran while remaining strong in Iraq, Kosovo, South Korea etc. ?" That question was posed to Gen Avizade. His answer, "To deter a nation state you should never underestimate the air and naval power of the United States,
Why the Iranians would want to move against us in an overt manner that would cause us to use our air or naval power against them would be beyond me. We have an incredible amount of power," the top Commander added.
Now we hear that Iran is stockpiling nuclear components deep under ground in concrete/steel reinforced bunkers in Isfahan, Tehran. A spokesman for the IAEA said, "They dug and constructed these bunkers without the approval of the IAEA ." I however trust the IAEA as much as I trust the UN.
We also know that Iran is receiving nuclear support from the Ukraine, and Pakistan .Russia has been selling technology to dangerous enemies of liberty and freedom for decades. i.e: Iran, China etc. It is time we kick Russia out of the G8 and show all of them what we are made of by laying low another terror supporting, anti-American Arab country. We are in harm's way and the time to act may come soon.

We have heard the EU in recent days fretting over the possible American military action against Iran. Bush told them, "This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous," . And then in 'TRUE' Bush fashion, looked them dead in the eye and said "And having said that, "all options are on the table!"

If ever there was a growing threat, it is now and it is Iran! I believe that in order to further secure Iraq and all other American interests in the world, military action is needed. I like that Bush is talking to these morons in the EU and NATO alliances.Trying to gain their support. However, we must remain steadfast, and if the other countries do not fall in line, we should unequivocally take action.
There are now threats that if the US hits Iran we will be cut off from all Arab oil.
They are just trying to bluff, and we should call their bluff and reduce trade with them. We know we can trade with Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other nations around the world that deserve our revenue. I also don't think Kuwait is in any position to deny the sale of oil to the US .

The USA imports more oil than any other country from these nincompoops. If they lost the revenue from America, they would all suffer. Then they would have to sell at such a high price to France, Russia and China, that economic ruin would creep up on them as well.
So, all things considered, should we go after Iran now or wait until our sovereignty is attacked again?

Is there, in your mind, a diplomatic solution? Can we avoid the conflict with Iran, just as we have with North Korea? Remember, we don't have China to lean on as we do in the N. Korea stand-off.

Lets hear your take, what do you think America should do? Is this a Sept. 10th 2001 issue. Can we afford the time it takes to be debating over an issue that requires immediate attention to thwart millions of American or Israeli lives?

I think that America could manage to have troops in all those countries, but I think we would be stretched. We should go after the Irans. But I don't think that we should do the same thing we did in Iraq. We should give them an option first, suching as disarming without war. Only if the government knows without a doubt that they have weapons should we then go after them. Thats my say in matter.

I understand that you think differently than I do, so I am not going to harp on things that we disagree on.
I agree that we should not go head strong into Iran and adjust their government the way we have in Iraq. It will be a greater joy to see them go the way of Libya and fall in line.
I also agree that we should not have gone into Iraq without seeking a diplomatic solution.

The note worthy fact is that George Bush thought that way too. :)
America issued 17 resolutions through the UN to Saddam Hussein ordering him to disarm and allow inspectors to come in and have free rein to search the country. He refused. Now if a police man smells pot in a man's car and says, " Can I search your car", and the man says no. You can bet that the Cop will search diligently and hand cuff him while he looks. Saddam's refusal of UN inspectors for 12 years, and the propensity to use WMD (Kurds, Iran), made him such a threat to US interests around the world, that we had a moral responsibility and a security reason to do what was done. You see when you get your news from a biased mainstream media, your rational reasoning is hijacked and the truth is hidden from you.
I enjoy your comments. I think you are a man who loves nature and such and I am inclined to think you are just informed by the wrong sources. I think if you stick around and continue to offer your thoughts in this sort of friendly manner. I may be able to help you understand, and you may then developed a new kind of Love and respect for this great country of yours. My e-mail link is on the profile page.
