Supreme Court Kings

Let me preface my comments with this, I do not hate the Judiciary system in this country. I am not speaking out against them. It is the ideologues on the left who seek to use the judiciary to promote an anti-moral culture that I have a distaste for. There are and have been many great Federal Judges who have helped promote the America intended by our fore fathers. The Judiciary is suppose to be a coequal branch of government. Instead they have become the ruling 1/3 that can and does preside over the other 2/3 majority. When the President does not approve of a law handed down from Congress, he can veto the bill and it dies. Just as the Congress can veto the bills handed down by the President. The Judiciary receives these laws that are created by the majority, and by their interpretation changes or ignores them all together. If they are to be a true co-equal branch, they must also be subject to the veto of the majority 2/3 !
During the 2000 Presidential race, President Bush said, "The voters will know I'll put competent judges on the bench, people who will strictly interpret the Constitution and will not use the bench to write social policy. I believe that the judges ought not to take the place of the legislative branch of government, that they're appointed for life and that they ought to look at the Constitution as sacred. They shouldn't misuse their bench. I don't believe in liberal, activist judges. I believe in strict constructionists. And those are the kind of judges I will appoint."
It has been a decade now since a Supreme court justice vacated a seat. That is the longest period between new appointees in over 180+ years. It is a common practice for Republican justices to wait until the GOP is in the Senate majority before they step down. So as to allow the approval of a Republican replacement. This strategy is also used by the Democrats.
The Republicans have a strong majority in the Senate now, and there are several justices who are ready to step down due to health and age issues. So Bush has attempted to nominate several Conservative men and women to the bench. However, since the nominees need to be approved by the Senate, the Democrats have used a filibuster to deny all of these nominees an up or down vote. However, a simple senate rule change can put the power back in the hands of the majority. The Democrats are holding up democracy by disallowing these votes. You see, the Constitution states in Article II, Section 2 specifically:

Clause 2: He (the President) shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, ..........

This means that the Senate has a right and obligation to vote on these nominees. The Constitution calls for a 51 majority vote to approve a Supreme Court judicial nominee. On the other hand, the rules require a 60 vote majority to break a filibuster.

So in a sense, the Democrats are subverting the Constitution by disallowing " Advise and Consent" of the majority, and setting precedent that would require a sixty vote ' Super Majority.'
The Republicans have said that they may use this Constitutional option to disallow the filibustering of all Judicial nominee confirmation votes.
The Democrats are fighting mad about this. Today(3-15-05) Democrat " Minority leader" Harry Reid said in a memo sent to Majority Leader Bill Frist that If Republicans change the rule and force a vote, the Democrats will block and filibuster all other Senate Business.
Can you believe the gall these people have ? They are saying that if we don't let them obstruct the Senate business, they will obstruct Senate business !!!!!!!!!
Why are they so desperate?

Because they know that if Bush puts in place judges that will rule as constuctionists and use the law to make decisions and not recreate the law to promote their own political agendas, Liberal Democrats will have very little chance to forward their agendas such as
legalization of homosexual marriage,Legalization of euthanasia,Banning of prayer in school,Banning the public display of the Ten Commandments,Banning the Pledge of Allegiance,Basing our laws on the laws of other nations,
Maintaining abortion on demand,Forcing the Boy Scouts and including churches to place homosexuals in positions of leadership, protection of pornography (perceived as a 'New Right'), forwarding of hate crime legislation,
Denigrating Christianity , and legitimating secularism as the only religion.

As it is now, the liberal Democrats in the Judiciary have the ability to change laws and answer to no one. They are omnipotent. They in a sense are Kings of America! What privileges do kings have that a Supreme Court judge does not. The elected branches , that are representative of the will of the people are powerless to overturn their rulings on the issues that effect our lives. This cannot continue.

It is imperative that the Supreme Court be subjected to a Congressional Veto! We can not allow the attack on Christian values in our society any longer. The conservative Republicans must act imediatetly!
NOW America, do you see the true face of this failing political group? Democrats are, by their treasonous distaste for representative government and Democracy, attacking the freedoms that it affords. We can no longer, as a Christian society, support these Socialists.

They may completely implode in the next few years. So we must be ready. We must not allow this kind of party to debate for the rule of our Country. Let the opposition party of the future be one based on the founding father's ideas for our country. Lets debate how to do good for America, and stop debating whether or not to do good !!!!!!!!!!

Are Democrats holding tight to failure and being driven by extreme Leftists and enemies of our Representative Republic? Will the political party known as Democrats be in contention in 10 years? Or will they move decidedly to the Right and become the party it was always intended to be?

I believe that is good that republicans have a hold of the house right now. However, they just made a bad decision. The government just approved more drilling in the artic. That makes me very mad:(
