Spare the rod? Not in Texas!

" Yes little Johnnie, Texas law says I can paddle your rump!"

Last month in my home state of Texas, A woman was having trouble controlling her 12 year old child. The juvenile delinquent had kicked a hole in the door. At that moment a level headed mother would have taken the little sweetheart to the kitchen, leaned her over a chair, and with a big 'love' gleaming smile, paddled her posterior to a nice shade of scarlet. Then the 12 year old could get right to the task of earning the money to replace the door. Well, that was not her response. She was operating under a misconception that the police were not on the job to stop violent offenders and make the town a safer place for her bratty little munchkin. No in her mind the police were there to help her parent a child that obviously was begging for a vigorous paddling. She called 911 and boo hooed to the operator about her 12 year old infant's behavior. The operator, with tongue planted firmly in his cheek said, " O-K. Do you want us to come over and shoot her? " Now this dispatcher was obviously not threatening this woman's child. He was illustrating absurdity with absurdity. What he meant was, " Lady, how about you be the parent, and let us be the police. we'll take care of the streets, you take care of your home!"

Out comes the mom and the liberal over-reactors...... " O MY GODDDDD!!! ," "How dare he say such a horrible thing!"
The story hit the news immediately. They all missed the point, this woman was either like many parents who know that corporal punishment can result in criminal charges and loss of the child, or she was one of these wacko liberals who think that we are evil Conservatives who want to solve every problem with violence. These backwards walking folks think that positive affirmation and a big smile will make it all better. They not only use appeasement to write their playbook on the international scene, but they use it to raise their confused children. Ok, to each their own. Just as long as you tree huggers understand that as much as I don't have the right to force you to use your common sense and spank that little brat of yours, you don't have the right to tell me to ruin mine!

It has been a fear in the back of every responsible American parent's mind that if someone saw you spank your child you would be in hot water. If your 12 year old is tearing down your house, you can't touch her without the risk of her going to the principal's office tomorrow and sending the police to your door.

A couple weeks ago in Fairmount Park, Florida, 5 year old Ja'eisha was in her elementary homeroom class throwing a fit. She made a mess on the floor and refused to clean it up. When confronted by the teacher, the little girl got out of hand. So Mrs. Ottersbach went and got the principal. Together they could not get her to calm down, so they called the police. The officers arrived as the girl was trying to punch the teacher and they restrained the girl.

She went into a mad screaming fit, so the officers put handcuffs on her and the ordeal was over.

Once again we get the mom and every fantasyland fairy liberal screaming at the tops of their lungs, "FOUL, FOUL," " Shame on the Teacher and the police officers."
" That poor girl has been violated!"

No my dear liberal ALWAYSWRONGS, what was violated is Mrs. Ottersbach's class curriculum. The thing violated was the town people's tax burden that pays for your little angel to attend that school and for the police officers to 'Once Again' play the roll of parent.
My dear 'baby-mama,' little Ja'eisha is being violated. YOU are ruining her chances of a peaceful future by not standing up and showing tough love. I would have begged the cops to take her to the station and print her and let her sit in a cold hallway on a hard bench until I got there!

I have argued this point until I am blue in the face. TODAY IS MY LIBERATION DAY !
No longer do I have to argue with you. Corporal punishment debate is finis in Texas.

Even though it has not been ruled 'illegal' to spank in Texas, parents have been under the assumption that they could be prosecuted and lose their child if reported. In many cases this has been a legitimate fear. But the Texas House set straight the issue once and for all.
Today the Bill presented by Rep. Harold Dutton a Southern Democrat, (who'da thunk it?) was approved that will allow parents to use corporal punishment as a means of discipline. Rep. Dutton said, "I filed the bill because there are a number of people in Texas who do not believe they have the right to spank or hit their children." Until now, we feared we could be visited by CPS at the slightest swat. NOW, you Libs can huddle up in the corner and shield little Johnnie's eyes, because if my child acts like little Ja'eisha, I'm gonna be in the school using the principals dusty 'ol paddle. The next step Mr. Dutton, is reinstating the right for the principal to use corporal punishment. although it is legal for a principal to spank, they know their license could be lost in litigation, so most refuse to do it. Lets set forth a similar bill that supports and protects our principal from prosecution.
Our schools are becoming thug camps where between every class my kid is in danger of assault. Like in the case of the little handicapped girl in Ohio who was raped and beaten by another student and no one was prosecuted, the cops were not even called by the school ! I want these young men and women to sit in class and fill their little heads full of useful information, not run rampant and reap no consequences. So, little kiddies, we love you, and all I've got to say is, " This is gonna hurt you more than it hurts me!"

Should corporal punishment be allowed?
Yes (emphatically)
No (emphatically)
no oppinion
I didn't understand the question, could you ask it again real slow?

My son was once asked why he never got into drugs or misbehaved. My son responded,"My Dad would kill me!" There was not a moment's hesitation or doubt in his voice. He has seen me dispassionately whack full grown adult males into submission and knows intimately what my hands are capable of. (this all with the worst he has ever gotten is some red marks on his fanny)

Any intelligent parent can discern the difference between correction and abuse. Following Liberal doctrine, the detractors want to disallow the act for fear irresponsible people might cause harm. Sound familiar ? ( Social Security)
Thanks for the visit Alnot. Take care man.
