American Muslims;are they real Americans?

Fear and Hate Propaganda..... Hitler loved it.

A good friend, with a grand Christian heart, asked me for my take on an e-mail circulation. As I began to answer her, I realised just how many people may be getting this and may benefit from my position on it. For this reason I have posted the email and my response here.
Thanks Mountain Mama.

(Original e-mail)

Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen? Consider this:
Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.
Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).
Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.
Domestically, no, because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).
Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)
Intellectually, no, because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically, no, because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression.
Democracy and Islam cannot co - exist.
Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually, no, because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as our heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation....perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country.
They obviously cannot be both good Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country.
Pass it on Fellow Americans......The religious war is bigger than we know.

This is exactly why I love you Mama. You know in your heart there is just 'Something' wrong here, though the words you read seem to resonate with truth, they are shrouded in lies. This letter was authored by someone who is motivated by the same fear, hate, racism, isolationism and xenophobia that has plagued this nation for centuries. I would be willing to bet (if I were the type) that the info gathering and incentive behind the writing of this could be traced back to either the KKK, Skin Heads, or even the Communist Party.

"Why such harsh words Ken?" you might ask. Well, where do I start....
Ok, the facts presented in the piece are accurate. The premise is warped.
Allow me to explain. Just the other day someone said to me, "Well you can't tell me that (devout) Muslims adhere to a religion of hate and world domination any more than I can say that Christians follow a Bible that incites violence too." Then he threw this quote at me, Mathew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."
"See!" he said, "How can you point to the Qur'an and say it is evil because it says in Sura 9:5 "Fight and slay the Unbelievers wherever ye find them. Seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." But you dismiss Christ's own call to war?" I am sure you can guess what I said to him. Just like in this piece, he had presented factual evidence. A neutral observer would say he has a valid point. They would be mistaken because they did not stop to view Christ's words in context. Yes he did say that, yet it must be tempered with this, Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." There is no temper for the Muslim example. So his theory did not hold water. Nor does the theory that a devout Muslim can't be a good American citizen. I'll take it point by point as they did.

1) Theologically- We are, a free society. If they want to worship the Moon God and drive a cab, so be it. To suggest that they are excluded from being patriotic because of who they worship or how they worship is to think with the mind of King George, James or any of the early British rulers. That kind of thinking is what caused future Americans to migrate here. See, here the author shows his narrow mindedness and intolerance. Just remember what Christ said about how we treat those who disagree or hate us.

2)Scripturally- Once again, to accept his premise here is to accept that America is a theocracy. America is the antithesis of a theocracy. We were born out of opposition to a great theocracy. For us to join this author and his ilk, we would have to adopt a hatred of our foundation.

3) Geographically- Is he kidding? How about when Catholics observe the direction of the Pope. Hey, they seem pretty close to the Vatican and we don't want to start about the Jews and their allegiance to Israel. Besides, using this logic, Christians cannot be good Americans because in John 15:18-19 we are told that we are not of this world. This is not even logic, it is sour tripe!

4) Socially- Again the author uses facts to blur the agenda. Does the Qur'an verse (Al-Ma’dah 5:51) establish enmity between Muslims and non believers? Yes. Does it call for them to not make friends with 'kafir' or non-believers? Yes. Does that mean that all Muslims are to be at war with us? No. The absence of friendship does not mean war! I am not friends with Hillary Clinton, that doesn't mean I am at war with her, and it does not mean socially, that we cannot live peacefully in America. Such fears caused FDR to sign
Executive Order 9066 and intern or imprison 110,000 Japanese Americans. Most were women and children. They dreamt their whole lives of escaping the tyrannical emperor. An escape to America, a land of hope and freedom was their ultimate goal. What threat did these families pose? I say they were no more a threat to us than Muslim Americans are now. Should they speak up against the terrorists? Yes! I believe their failure to do so has fueled the anti-Islamic sentiment in America.

5) Politically- My wife could not tell you if Bill Frist was a baseball player, a founding father or a US senator. Does that make her anti-American? No. Obviously Muslim Americans do not adhere to the political propaganda of the radical Mullahs, or they would not be here! If politically opposing America and working politically to undo this great nation makes them enemies of America, why haven't we interned Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, John Murtha, Francois Kerry and the lot of them? Any anti sentiment they have is quelled by a need to cohabitate. Just like the Liberal Democrats.

6) Religiously- They gave a nice quote there. How about this one, Exodus 20:3, you know, the first commandment. Or how about this, John 14:4 "... I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
We must be careful that we don't find joy in alienating a group of people because they believe their faith is the only way lest we be categorized the same.

7) Intellectually- Hmmm, I guess we should single out everyone who is not happy with the Christian basis for our government. Who else has this view..... Oh! Yes! Liberals feel the same way. ROUND 'EM UP !!!

8) Philosophically- What? So they want you to believe that if you are a part of a religion that doesn't require that you search elsewhere for the answers and constantly adhere to other religious beliefs, you are a threat to America and can't philosophically be an American!
The author condenses his synopsis by saying, "Therefore after much study and deliberation....perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country." FINALLY!!! The author finally reveals his motive for the column. It is to foster suspicion and distrust in a group of people he hates!

Should we be on the watch? Yes. Are we like this author when we worry a little bit more about the Muslim on the bus with us? No. Because we are not saying that they are unfit to be American because they are Muslim. We are cautious because some from their faith seek to kill us. So what if they believe the way they do. I don't hear anyone (sane) saying that Jews or even atheists cannot be good Americans. So why the distinction? Hate! And, like any good piece of hate propaganda, the author sneaks in a lie or two. Like.....

"Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic."
Ummm, I guess Turkey and oh yeah... IRAQ are not Muslim countries!

I do stand by my stance that Islam is not a religion of peace and I also KNOW that Christians and Muslims are destined to fight to the end. I do not, however, believe that we should treat another American as an outsider because of their race, color, or religion. I mean, I could make (and have made) the case that Liberalism is not a philosophy of peace but hostile to traditional American Democracy. That doesn't mean I should say they can't be American.

Hey Ken it is so good to have a faster computer back from the shop your web page was always so slow to load with the old memory challenged computer that I literally could not comment here. Well that problem is now solved. This post is right on the money. The muslim primitives should not be even allowed citizenship in this great and still free country because they would work toward tearing our hard won freedoms down.

Ken.
Holy S---. Literally.

What the…? Did I miss something? Why on God’s Great Earth would anyone benefit from this form of propagandistic hate speech? Ken! My liberal heart is breaking here! I KNOW you’re smarter and more open minded than this;
(Original e-mail is in parenthesis)

”Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen? Consider this:
Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.”
What happened to the freedom of religion?!
”Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).”
Okay, people, last I checked, scripture, or lack thereof, is not a prerequisite for being able to serve and die for your country, to drive a car or vote.
”Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.”
And if you’re going by this logic, and if you’re any where west of the Patomic, wouldn’t you be praying to the nation’s capitol five times a day? Now that’s patriotic!
”Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.”
Um…can anyone say ‘Hitler’?
”Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.”
Okay…the destruction of Isreal…isn’t that what needs to happen anyway so that Jesus can come back to the earth?
And FYI, the Quran was written about 2,000 years before America was even a ideological sperm tail, so that last one is obviously false.
”Domestically, no, because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).”
Well, there is such a thing called progressive servitude, as opposed to FUNDAMENTALISM, which is the death of ALL religious doctrine. I would suggest this for Christians too.
”Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)”
Of course! The Bible says this too! Two great tastes that just don’t taste great together, like apple juice and toothpaste. (Christianity being the toothpaste, of course, for I find it to be more cleansing, personally that is…)
”Intellectually, no, because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.”
Um…the United States Constitution was not based on the Bible. Read the first ammendment.
“Congress shall enact/create no law…”
”Philosophically, no, because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression.”
That doesn’t make any sense, and is false. Why would Muslims pray 5 times a day under a religion that does not allow it? And Christianity also tells us that if we follow any other religion, we will most certainly go to hell.
”Democracy and Islam cannot co - exist.”
Bologna.Bologna.Bologna.
Are these guys the Medieval Crusaders? What has gotten into them?
”Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.”
Um…ever heard of India?
And when has America ever really had a problem with a dictatorship just for being a dictatorship? America LOVES dictators, hell, we set them up and help them out from time to time.
”Spiritually, no, because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as our heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names.”
Opinion! Not Fact!
If anyone were to suggest that the previous statement were fact, then they are saying that they have evidence of the metaphysical realm, that means to talk to God, and if you hear God talk to you then I can comfortably label you as a nut.
”Therefore after much study”
Ahahahahahahaha…much study…that’s a good one!
“and deliberation....perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country.”
Isn’t this what Hitler said about the Jews?
Just read this whole thing and substitute ‘Muslim’ for ‘Jew’. You’ll know what I’m talking about.
I think it’s ironic that I have muslim friends that are in the US military defending this persons right to advocate this fascist bigotry and hatred. I do not care what they say after this, it does not justify their words preceeding this deplorable doctrine. I am so ashamed of this intolerance.
And if Muslims believe this is a justification for them to hate Christians, well, then whatever muslim thinks that is just as bad as the person who originally wrote this.

I know, I know, I know! Don't worry, we're on the same level, here, my friend.
Yes, I'm glad to see you refering to it as a whacked out e-mail, because that's exactly what it is.
Yikes.

Again my thanks Ken. I value your opinion because I believe our Heavenly Father has given you a gift of insight concerning these things. When I read this e-mail it all seemed true but at the same time something about it grieved my spirit.

I realize now that it lacked the love of Christ. Thanks so much for making it clear.

Satan himself could have written it.

David certainly can not quote scripture in context, but he sure does know his Quar'an and he has his CAIR talking points down great.

I am going to post on the Christian who is facing execution in Afghanistan for the heinious crime of owning a Bible. That is religious tolerance in Muslim countries. As in none. As in be a Muslim or die.

Why is America any different in their eyes? They are allowed to exist because Christians believe in tolerance.

David, step away from the kool-Aid and open your eyes. Muslims want to kill you because you are not a Muslim. Believe it before you get sprayed with nails from a suicide bomb vest.

Unless of course, you are a terrorist supporter or Muslim in which case you can come out safely here as we won't kill you for being such.

Yes, that's what sets us apart! In America you can be Muslim, Jewish, or agnostic. We are tolerant because we are a free nation founded on Christian principals of tolerance! Islam is a dangerous and warped religion, but so is Satanism and Scientology. I don't hate them and I don't want to exclude them from our country. I want to live in peace with those Muslims who do not hold to the violent doctrine of the Qu'ran. It is possible to be an American and be a Muslim. Eric Rudolph was an American, but he was led by a warped interpretation of Christianity. Could you say that because he killed 3 people and injured over 150, that Christians can't be Americans? No! Because he does not represent Christian people, nor do radical Muslim terrorists represent the whole of the Islamic people. I know a Muslim family. They are some of the kindest and loving people I know. They left their country to become legal American citizens. For me to accept the premise this email lays out, I would have to say they are not real Americans. That would be highly false. They are very patriotic, they support the American troops and hurt when they hear of our soldiers dying. They are hopeful that we succeed in the war. They are as American as I am!
It is possible to hold to the tenets of Christianity or Islam without being violent. It is the warped fringe, a minute minority, who take their faith to a violent level. There will come a day when we, as Christians, must fight to defend our faith against Islam. We may, very soon, have to go to war to protect Israel from Muslim terrorists. That does not mean that we hate all Muslims, it means we must be watchful to insure security. If Muslims love this country and want to live here, who are we to deny them?
American Muslims are my brothers. Just as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian,German and English Americans are my brothers. If they chose to attack us in the name of their religion or political affiliation, they forfeit their rights as Americans, and then they become our enemy!
