Brigitte Gabriel- Because they Hate !

A great video interview can be watched for free by clicking the picture below or downloading it from the link below! is about 46 mins. It was made in 2005 before the book was written last year .

Brigitte lived in fear as a Christian in Lebanon. She has insight and first hand knowledge of the kind of persecution Christians live in today. If you have questions about our support of Israel, if you do not understand who wears the white hat and who wears the black hat in the ongoing war between Palestinians and Israelis you MUST watch this interview and read this book!

She, like Noni Darwish, lives her life in constant threat of assasination. Telling the truth about Isamic Terror, the way she does, makes her a target and it makes our obligation to listen even stronger.

Please take the time to watch this interview and visit her site. Nothing compares to her book, click the picture and order it now. I have just finished it and would buy everyone I know a copy if I could.

She's hot.

Seriously, though, I think radical fundamentalist ANYTHING is bad, be it Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc.
Any religion can be used as a gun or fire.
You can either use it as intended, to spread spiritual meaning and love to peoples lives, or you can use it as a tool of intolerance, greed or hatred.
Not one religion stands out as an exception.
That being said, I don't have a problem with the religion itself, just the people who interperet the meaning for their own destructive and hurtful agendas.
Christians, Muslims and Jews have played both opposing roles for thousands of years of oppressors and the repressed. Thousands upon thousands of stupid and "rightious" humans have killed eachother for thousands of years in the name of their "God", and by doing so have missed the entire point of the religions themselves. The golden rule of ANY religion is 'do unto others as you wish done to yourself'.
What exactly did you want me to comment on again?

Tell me Dave,
When was the last time Christians went on a campaign to slaughter everyone who was not Christian? Who was the last Christian suicide bomber who went into a crowded Mid Eastern shop and killed innocent people? Where does the Bible call for Christians to kill non Christians? How about dictators..... Who was the last Christian dictator who ruled over his nation with oppression and totalitarianism? In what nation was it that Christians engaged in genocide, infanticide, politicide, ethnocide or democide? It is not religion that causes the violence around the world it is the Islamic perversion they call a religion.

Fundamentalism describes the act of supporting the fundamental tenants of a religion. I am a fundamentalist and proud of it. I believe the word of God as recorded in the Bible. I may not be perfect but I am not making excuses for my shortcomings and sins. I don't try to add or subtract from his word to assuage my guilt. If a man does his best to follow the Bible in literal terms and applies it to his life as best he can, he is called a fundamentalist.
I am proud to be one.

However all fundamentalists are not the same. Islamic fundamentalists believe the literal interpretations of the Qur'an. When our Bible tells us to love even our enemy and their Bible tells them to fight non believers and cut off their feet and hands or lynch them, how can you argue religious/moral relativism?

What if I said, " Muslims are the vilest of animals!" or "Show mercy to one another but be ruthless to Muslims!" or "FIGHT against those Muslims who are near you!" or "Strike off the heads of Muslims as well as their fingertips!" What if I said that? Would I be holding to Christian teachings if I issued such commands? No! Absolutely not. But these very same things are from the Qur'an. I just changed the names from Christian or non-believer to 'Muslims'. These quotes are on 'CAIR's' website. Yet you make an argument that they and Christian fundamentalists are relative?!?! More people are murdered by Islamic terrorists each year than were killed on all sides during the entire 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition! But Christians are comparable?
That is very naive of you Dave.

(Advice: You don't want to bring up the Crusades. I am not the one to battle about the courageous actions of Christians coming to the aid of the oppressed. That is an analogy you will learn alot from if you test me:)

You said, "The golden rule of ANY religion is 'do unto others as you wish done to yourself'" Really? Have you read the Qur'an? Do the quotes I posted above agree that you should do unto others as you wish to be done to you?

How about this literal quote from the Qur'an,2:190-191 "Muslims must fight the unbelievers who oppose them. Muslims are to obey the Islamic rules of war. They must kill the unbelievers wherever they find them. They are to drive them out of the lands they took from the Muslims. Enduring trouble and oppression from the unbelievers is worse than the Muslim’s act of the all out slaughter of the unbelievers."

You said, "Not one religion stands out as an exception."
Really? Christians treat their women the same as the Shiites in Iran? Christian schools treat their children the same as the Madrassas in Pakistan? Come on Dave. This religious/moral relativism gig doesn't apply here. You know it doesn't. You are an incredibly intelligent man, so there is no way you can honestly believe that Christians in Dallas, TX are comparable to the Muslims of Khurtum Basr, Sudan. Is Billy Graham and Basher Assad on the same moral rung? Can you say that the cultures that sprung from Islam and the cultures which came from Judeo-Christians are morally relative? If you can make that leap you are certainly qualified to be branded as true Leftist. If not (and I'm betting you can't honestly make the leap) you may want to work on some other issues with me. Perhaps you are leaning a bit further to the right of center than you thought. ( you know me I always have to try :)

What I asked for were opinions regarding the testimony given by Mrs. Gabriel. It is an incredible interview and pertinent to the threat we face as Americans from Hamas and other Islamic 'fundamentalists'. But I don't mind discussing the difference between Judeo-Christian beliefs and Islam. If you believe you can defend them or prove that Christians or Jews are just as murderous, barbaric, twisted and EVIL as those who rule their people with iron fists in Shariah based totalitarian nations go right ahead. I'll take that argument on any day bro. It will be fun.

Well, here's just a good example for you today in history...

"On St. Valentine's Day in 1349, roughly 2,000 Jews were burned to death by Christian mobs in Strasbourg. These mobs, led by nobles who owed large sums to Jewish moneylenders (usury being a sin for Christians), blamed the Jews for poisoning the city's wells and causing the bubonic plague.[9]

Using the language of the law courts for the rituals of courtly love, a "High Court of Love" was established in Paris on Valentine's Day in 1400. The court dealt with love contracts, betrayals, and violence against women. Judges were selected by women on the basis of a poetry reading.[10][11]

The earliest surviving valentine dates from 1415. It is a poem written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife. At the time, the duke was being held in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt [12]."

-Wikipedia.com

And that's just ONE of thousands of examples through out history.
The problem I should again point out is not religion ITSELF but the fanatics who use it for the wrong reasons, only you can be the judge of wether you're interpereting the scripture the way it was intended. That's why I like to cut the dogma crap out of it and just go by Jesus' teachings of love and compassion for others.
Just do your best, and be kind to everyone and you can never fail. Just by doing those things, you are doing God's work.
Well, that's my interperetation, anyway.
Just like a gun, or fire. I think I rest my case. You can psychologically project until your fingers fall off, but I think I've made my point.
You know, the United States government kills thousands of innocent people world wide, but we don't call it terrorism.
We call it "industry" or "casualties of war." A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down, eh?
What ever you have to tell yourself to help you sleep at night is fine with me.
