Fred Thompson answers Moore's debate request

Michael Moore challenged one of America's greatest Constitutional experts, (and God willing... Presidential Candidate) Fred Thompson to a health care debate. If Fred actually did debate the preeminent propaganda loon he would have to stoop so low, bottom feeders couldn't relate. Thompson criticized Moore's trip to Cuba. Moore in-turn pointed to Thompson's preference for Cuban cigars as a possible violation of the trade embargo. So the great Fred Thompson responded..... Cigar in hand.

Run Fred Run!
I pray God bless us with such a President!

I want to take just a moment to talk about the late Jerry Falwell. Many today and in days since his death have "mocked" and not "mourned" his death. Yes, Dr. Falwell made many enemies during his life, especially when it came to his views on the feminist movement, homosexuals, and abortion. Regardless of ones opinions or views on those issues or others, I still have respect for such a man as Falwell who took a stand on sound moral principles and convictions. Like every human being, Dr. Falwell was not perfect. I did not always agree with Mr. Falwell. He also said some things in the past that were wrong, but also apologized for his mistakes and asked for forgiveness. However, I appreciate the stand that Dr. Falwell had taken on many issues in our society as a man of God and as a Christian. He is what I considered to be the "Bill O'Reily" of the Christian movement. In other words, he was a "No Spin Zone" himself. He spoke firmly and boldly. He did not mence words, and he knew the facts about the very things of which he debated, and was not afraid to speak them. He loved his Lord and was not afraid to proclaim God's Word! His "Moral Majority" helped moved the Christian cause to the forefront, and made it as such to be respected, and not be taken for granted, especially when it came to politics and politicians. If you have any doubt as to the strength of the Christian movement, look no further as to who first helped put Ronald Reagan in office, as well as George Bush in his second term as President. Whether or not someone wants to recognize or realize, this Nation was founded on Christianity. The men who drew up our very constitution were either Christians, or expressed a belief in God, and Dr. Falwell during his life was just trying to help lead America back to it's Christian roots. Roots unfortuantely that too many have forgotten. The Bible tells us that as Christians, we would be persecuted in this world because of who we were. Jerry Falwell was truly a man and an American who was persecuted for his stand on so many issues as well as his beliefs. Today, I "mourn", not "mock" his passing, and thank God for his life testimony. My prayers today are with the Falwell family, Liberty University, and the Thomas Road Baptist Church membership.
