The Gratitude Campaign

Tell them thanks.

The gratitude campaign is a great idea.
It may sound silly or awkward at first, but it's actually very practical. If you're like me, you may have approached members of the military to express gratitude for their service to our nation, only to have them respond negatively.
Usually it is because these men and women often feel embarrassed to be singled out. They spend their lives in service learning to be identified as a group. Individuality is not the military's goal. However, this method of communication relays our gratitude and love for them without putting them on the spot. Try it a time or two and see what you think.

Good for you Ken!! I'm so glad you posted this. I don't know how to put this sort of thing on my blog and I really think anything to give our Military a boost should be posted.
Although we don't see many Military people in our college town I sure will be giving them thanks when I do see them. Until then, I can pray for their safety.

Thank you MM,
I think it's a great idea. I am not good at sign language but I know that 'thank you' starts at the chin and this one starts above the heart. I'm not sure of the significance of it, but if they recognize it, I will be sure to use it.
