Obama to cede American Sovereignty

America:Our last best hope

He is the British Benjamin Franklin of our time. Instead of dispatching him to France as revolutionary America did; today's Great Britton has sent 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley (Lord) Christopher Monkton to rally America to the cause of defending freedom! Please Watch the video and/or read the transcript below.

Transcript:

At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.

I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.

How many of you think that the word “election” or “democracy” or “vote” or “ballot” occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesn’t appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because [the communists] captured it – Now the apotheosis as at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He’s going to sign it. He’ll sign anything. He’s a Nobel Peace Prize [winner]; of course he’ll sign it.

And the trouble is this; if that treaty is signed, if your Constitution says that it takes precedence over your Constitution (sic), and you can’t resign from that treaty unless you get agreement from all the other state parties – And because you’ll be the biggest paying country, they’re not going to let you out of it.So, thank you, America. You were the beacon of freedom to the world. It is a privilege merely to stand on this soil of freedom while it is still free. But, in the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign your freedom, your democracy, and your humanity away forever. And neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back. That is how serious it is. I’ve read the treaty. I’ve seen this stuff about [world] government and climate debt and enforcement. They are going to do this to you whether you like it or not.

But I think it is here, here in your great nation, which I so love and I so admire – it is here that perhaps, at this eleventh hour, at the fifty-ninth minute and fifty-ninth second, you will rise up and you will stop your president from signing that dreadful treaty, that purposeless treaty. For there is no problem with climate and, even if there were, an economic treaty does nothing to [help] it.

So I end by saying to you the words that Winston Churchill addressed to your president in the darkest hour before the dawn of freedom in the Second World War. He quoted from your great poet Longfellow:

Sail on, O Ship of State!

Sail on, O Union, strong and great!

Humanity with all its fears,

With all the hopes of future years,

Is hanging breathless on thy fate.

Ken,
I am completely confused. Lord X goes from saying that "everyone one will sign it" (what? because "everyone" was duped? Everyone but him is an idiot?)
directly to the conspiracy theory of a "one world government".
If people are trying to contribute to the overall health of the world, regardless of wether or not global warming actually exists, this is hardly frightening.
Nor is it anywhere near as scary as my daughters halloween costume.
Or corporations that conspire to favor profit over individuals health.
What's the measure of sanity here? I'm still very confused of what the point here was.
Sincerely,
-Dave

Dave,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
If you have read the twenty three articles I have written over the past three years at Acanthophis Gore you know Global Warming is a lie and you understand they are using it to grow government and seize more and more and more of our liberty. When the smart meters are attached to your home and business you will begin to understand the new powers of a watermelon government! That is 'green on the outside RED on the inside'. Anthropogenic global warming is a lie. Socialism is REAL. As for your slam on private sector business' operated by people like us, I will deal with that in future comments. As for your coming back around and hashing out the issues, I must say I am honored and do look forward to future lively debates. Even more, I still look forward to your agreeing with me on a few things too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, but....
Here's my thought on the whole energy crisis / global warming thing;
The sun's energy is limitless (well, maybe for another billion years, but that's limitless to us).
Why can't we spend our tax dollars on research & development to go totally solar, store energy when needed.
I'm not a scientist, but I think that using seemingly limitless resources such as water (which can be used and reused as it already is regularly) and solar energy to power everything could work way better than our crude and limited and destructive burning of fossil fuels. Not to mention cutting down significantly of the carbon monoxide emissions.
I'm just looking for new ideas and new answers to the problems that face us today, and be able to apply them practically for future generations.
That's my 2 cents for today.
Thanks, Ken!

Yes it has been a year and a half since I wrote in this thing. But while debating the permanent retirement of 'The Squamata Report' I realized I need to respond to my friend of the Left/Center's comment. I am all for the transition into more sustainable energy through natural processes but I do not support the current scientific offerings and I do not support the government using it to destroy private enterprise and cramming it down our throats.
Dave, our government did not tell people they had to buy cars. They never said we must drive. Yet the betterment of our lives and the convenience it offered was too big of a draw. Cars took over and we pushed the horses back out to pasture. If people want to drive hybrids they will because it is better for them! Not because they were guilt-ed into it. They damn sure had better revolt if the government forces it. So the gov just whacks at it piece by piece with these 'Green initiatives'. Do you know why people don't all go running to the green side of the street? Because they see the dishonesty and oppressive tone, they see no direct increased benefit to their lives and most of the ideas are ineffective or worse dangerous.
when the 'Natural Way' can offer more than the standard way we will change willingly.
Solar is (for now) not the answer. It can not power our industry, traffic nor community. Nuclear on the other hand will do it all. Can you get behind the safe and all powerful energy of the atom? I miss these debates Dave we have had some good ones over the years and I am honored to call you my friend. (and glad to have helped pull you back from the edge of radical Liberalism)
